For one of our project we are looking for a company able to make the knife attach.
We would like to make this knife by powdered metallurgy technology.
We are very interested by the three materials attached for these reasons :
Edge retention
corrosion resistance
Hardness Rockwell C, HRC
Wear Resistance
Our goal is to have a huge density of powder in order to have a very resistant knife. Can you tell us which material / which manufacturing process we should use ?

Dear ,
We want to produce special fittings (see drawings and step files in attachment).
The drawing 40 mm in attachment is only 1 size from a whole range of fittings from 25 till 125mm. (25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125)
I send you hereby the drawings from the fitting 40mm.
The material is AISI 431 stainless steel and originally to be produced with the lost wax casting process and machined afterwards
I think the MIM process can be a better solution.
Our tolerances are tight but as far as I can judge, it will not be a problem for metal injection moulding, then there will be no need for machining.
MIM 17-4PH could be an alternative for AISI 431?
Production quantity after sample = minimum 3.000 pieces per order.
1) Can you produce this clamp-nut according our drawings?

Total paint coat thickness 12-18µ
The coating media used as well as the coatings must not contain any Cr(VI) compounds.
The large surface area contact points at the suspension points that are typical for rack galvanized
goods are not permissible. Individual, barely perceptible micro-contact points that do not adversely
affect the corrosion resistance in particular are permissible.
The coating procedures must follow one directly after the other (online procedure), so that interim
storage and/or transport times are significantly reduced (target value: a maximum of 48 h). With
proper mounting, the coating must not suffer any damage that would lead to impairment of function
and/or decrease of the specified corrosion protection.
Requirements: Salt Fogging Test - 720h Surface free from base metal corrosion (rust) and blister formation,
adhesion loss at the scribe
